BELIZE

MURDER

Belize City Police are investigating the murder of Ralton Usher, 31 yrs of Doris Brooks Street, Belize City which occurred on 1.2.10 in front of 88 Shopping Center at the corner of Central American Boulevard and Neals Penn Road. USHER received multiple gunshot wounds to his body after a van passed by and his occupants fired several shots injuring him.

SHOOTING INCIDENT

Police are investigating a shooting incident where four persons were injured: Darrell WILLIAMS Jr., 19yrs, of Central American Blvd. received a gun shot wound to the left eye, Steven RHAMDAS, 64yrs, of Central American Blvd. received a gun shot wound to the left palm and Jenny MOGUEL, 7yrs, Belizean Student received a gunshot wound to the left upper shoulder and Robert HOWARD, 27 yrs of Corner Vernon and Patridge Street, Belize City received a gunshot wound to the center of head. Investigation revealed that on 1.2.10, RHAMDAS and MOGUEL were crossing Central American Blvd when several shots were fired injuring them, WILLIAMS who was inside his yard at corner of Central American Blvd. and Trinity Street also received injury during the shooting incident. Robert HOWARD was riding a bicycle in the area where he received the said injuries. Police investigation continues.

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT

On 1/2/10 a 16 yrs male student of Ladyville Village, Belize District accompanied by his mother of same address reported that on 31/01/10, whilst standing on Cemetery Road waiting for the Ladyville bus, he was approached by a brown complexion male person on a bicycle that pointed a .9mm pistol and fired one shot towards him.  The said person then pulled the trigger several times but the gun misfired.  Police are investigating

BURGLARY

On 31/1/10 Bonny BELANGER, 35yrs, of Intelco Drive, Belmopan City reported that on 30/01/10, someone was burglarized her house and stole an assortments of jewelries.  Police are investigating.

POSTMORTEM

On 01/02/10, Doctor ESTRABRAN conducted a postmortem examination on the body of Keith Sambula, 29yrs, of Punta Gorda Town, where cause of death was certified to be as a result of trauma shock, massive brain damage, and head trauma as consequence of chop wound.

MISSING PERSON

On 01/02/10, Iver MENDEZ, 39yrs, of Roaring Creek Village reported that on even date his daughter Ivonie MENDEZ, 16yrs, left home en route to school and has not returned.  Ivonie is about 5’ 4” in height, slim built, brown skin complexion, sharp nose, brown eyes, narrow face, and short curly black hair.  Police are investigating.

MURDER ARREST

Reference murder report of Keith SAMBULA on 29/01/10, Police on 1/2/10 arrested Phillip Felipe REYES, 27yrs, and Jack Noel ESCARPETA, 47yrs, both of Roaring Creek Village jointly for the crime of Murder.

DANGRIGA

ROBBERY

On 1/2/10 James WITTY, 32yrs, of Sawai Street, Dangriga Town reported that on even date whilst in front of Amigo’s cool spot situated in the Benguche area delivering bread, he was approached by a short dark male person with a rag covering his face who placed a black object resembling a firearm to the right side of his head.  He was robbed of a black waist bag which contained bcy and a cell phone. Police are investigating.

ISF

FATAL TRAFFIC ACCIDENT

Police are investigating a traffic accident which occurred on 31/01/10, between miles 36-37 on the southern highway. Police observed a white 2 door Toyota pick up truck L/P SC-C8841 on the left hand side of the road facing east when traveling from San Juan to Independence Village. Investigation reveals that on even date Celio OGALDEZ 32 years, of George Town village was driving the said vehicle heading towards Independence village, where he lost control and overturned several times. OGALDEZ received abrasions his body and arm.  Raheem CASTILLO, 32yrs, of George Town Village who was traveling with OGALDEZ received cut wound to the back of head and abrasion to face and arms.  Chaddie VALERIO, 29yrs, of George Town Village received a cut wound to the head and was transported to Dangriga Hospital for treatment.  VALERIO was later transported to KHMH where he died.
