BELIZE CITY
MURDER
On Friday 29th January 2010, at 7:50pm, police visited an apartment room situated on the third floor of a three story concrete house located at No. 16 corner Orange and West Street, Belize City, where they saw the lifeless body of NEVILLE THOMAS JR., 53, businessman, with multiple gun shots wounds. Initial investigation revealed that on Friday about 7:35pm the victim was at his room when a person entered and fired at him causing the fatal injuries. The body was transported to the K.H.M.H. where it was pronounced dead upon arrival. As police continue to investigate a suspect is in custody for questioning.
THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE
MR. ELWIN SMITH, of Belize City, reported that sometime between the hours of 2:00pm and 3:10pm on Friday 29th January 2010, his grey in color 1987, two door pickup truck bearing L/P C-12899 was stolen whilst parked on East Canal.
MISSING PERSON
MS. ANNA SHABAZZ, of Belize City, reported that on Saturday 23rd January 2010, about 8:00pm her daughter DONESE FERMIN, 17, her baby son namely MALIQUE FERMIN, 1 year 6 months old, both left home to an unknown destination and so far, their whereabouts are unknown. DONESE is of brown complexion, slim built, about 5’ 3” in height, weighs about 115 lbs, and was last seen wearing a purple blouse, blue short jeans pants, and a black slippers. MALIQUE is of brown complexion, weighs about 26 lbs, and was last seen wearing a red T-shirt and brown shorts. Police are on the lookout for a person of interest for questioning.
ARREST
Reference ROBBERY report made by MS. VIRGINIA MENDEZ on the 28/01/10, on the 29/01/10, police formally arrested and charged FERNANDO ELIJIO, 35, of No. 4414 Morning Glory Street, Belize City with the crime of ROBBERY.
