VACANCY NOTICE
POLICE OFFICER (CADET)Police Department
Ministry of National Security
Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons to fill two (2) vacant post of Police Officer (Cadet) in the Belize Police Department, Ministry of National Security.
Qualifications: Applicant must be a Belizean National, of good character with sound educational background.
(a) Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration; or
(b) Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration; or
(c) Bachelor's Degree in Management Studies; or
(d) Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Studies.
Age Limit: 21 to 30 Years
Physcial Requirements: Height - Minimum of 5'4"
Good Eyesight
To be otherwise physically fit
A strong sense of loyalty and dedication to duty
Salary Scale: NPS 8 - $19,404 x 840 - 22,764 E.B. 23,604 x 840 - 26,964
Special conditions associated with the job:
The successful candidates will be enlisted in the Police Department as a Police Officer (Cadet) under training. Following the satisfactory completion of formal training in Belize, overseas courses and local on-the-job training (for a period of not less than two (2) years) and the attainment of the necessary standard, an appointment will be made to the substantive rank of Inspector of Police. Thereafter, advancement in the Department will be by direct competition with other officers of comtemporary rank.
