GAMBLERS ROBBED

MR. FAREED AHMAD, A Barber of mile #17 Western Highway, Belize District, reported that on the 15.4.08 about 7:55pm, whilst sitting under a wooden house on Amara Avenue, along other friends who were gambling, three men on separate bicycles came under the house armed with 9mm pistols. With their faces partially covered with their shirts, two of the men kept their guns pointed at the persons gambling. The third man, who the complainant recognized as Keon Francis, went around relieving the people of their cash and other items. Francis then approached Ahmad and demanded his black wallet which contained the sum of $330.00, and his cell phone (#600-3944 valued at $1,100.00). Upon their departure the robbers then fired several shots. Police visited the scene and recovered (3) 9mm shells. Keon Francis has been detained by police pending charges.

STUDENTS ROBBED


Ms. KARA WILLIAMS, 16 yrs, a student of Belize City reported that at about 5:45pm on Saturday, she was along with two friends Lisha Sosa and Gian Martinez at the Lopez Mateo’s Park, in the kings Park area when they were approached by three dark complexion men. One of the men then pointed a silver looking handgun at Kara Williams and grabbed her red purse. A struggle ensued between the two. However, the robber was successful in getting her purse which contained (1) Pink, white and black in color wallet with $40.00 in it, (1) pink in color Motorola Razr cellular phone with flower designs with calling numbers 620- 2779 valued at $550.00. The men then relieved the other females of cell phones and other personal effects. A quick response by the police led to the recovery of the items stolen. They also recovered (1) silver imitation firearm. Police detained three minors (two fifteen and one 16) pending charges.

GUYANESE SHOT


At 9:15 pm on the 4/5/08, acting upon information received police visited the KHMH where 48 year old LYNDON JEFFERY, a Guyanese national Belize City was seen suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the lower right foot. Initial investigation reveals that Jeffery was riding his bicycle on Lakeview Street, when he saw a clear complexion man dressed in a white in color undershirt and ¾ khaki pants, wearing a black peak cap and a rag covering the nose and mouth area. The man, who was riding on a bicycle, had a gun in his hand and upon reaching near Jeffery he fired shots in his direction causing injuries. The man then rode off and left a wounded Jeffery who was treated and released from the KHMH. Police investigation continues.

LADYVILLE SHOOTING ROULETTE?

At approximately 12:15am on Saturday 3rd May 2008 acting upon information obtained, police officers went out to Ladyville where upon arrival, observed a dark skin male person dressed in black t-shirt and ¾ pants and lying face up motionless with what appeared to be a single gunshot wound to the right side of the head. He was identified as 19 year old TJ Middleton of 150 corner Crab Catcher and Yellow Tail street, Ladyville Village. Initial investigations revealed from 24 year old Alfredo Singh a mechanic of 12 Mahogany street Belize City told police that he and a group of boys including the deceased were all socializing when Middleton suddenly pulled out a shiny chrome .38 revolver from his pants waist. Middleton then suggested that they should play a game of Russian Roulette. He then placed the firearm to the right side of his temple and pulled the trigger. Police visited the scene and retrieved (1).38 chrome revolver. The body was transported to the KHMH where it was pronounced dead. TJ Middletons’ body now awaits a postmortem. Police are currently conducting an intensive investigation into this incident.

MISSING AT SEA

MS. MARVA BARNETT, 40yrs, a domestic of Lords Bank, Ladyville, Belize District reported that about 7:30am on the 25.3.08, her son James Martinez Jr. left home to Turneffe Island to work. On 3/05/08 she received information that her son went swimming on the 29/4/08 and did not returned to shore.

ARREST: Reference report made by Ms. Josephine young on the 3/5/08, DC #218 F. Labriel formally arrested and charged Micheal Heusner, 23yrs, D.O.B 21/1/85, Belizean laborer of #3272 Courtney Crescent, Belize City, for the Crime of Damage To Property.

CONDITION OF SHOOTING VICTIM


Check made at 3:00am on the 4.5.08, on LIONEL SAMPSON is in a stable condition at the KHMH.

POSTMORTEMS

Reference the murder of Feliciano Moncia on 3rd May 2008, Dr. Mario Estrada ban conducted a postmortem examination on the body. At the conclusion the doctor certified the cause of death as Infradanal Subiarachnoid due to head injury as a consequence of a blunt trauma.

Reference fatal traffic accident report on 2nd May 2008, on the 3rd May 2008 at 12:45pm Dr. Mario Estrada ban conducted a postmortem examination on body of Silvio Javier Toruno Lorente 29yrs a Costa Rican, of Hills of Promise Benque Viejo Town. At the conclusion of the postmortem Dr. Estrada ban certified the cause of death to be Asphyxia by chest trauma due to multiple injuries as a consequence of a motor vehicle accident.

FATAL TRAFFIC ACCIDENT

On the 3rd May 2008 at 9:51am acting upon information received of a traffic accident in the Mountain Pine Ridge area, San Ignacio Police visited an area on the Mountain Pine Ridge main road where a green land Rover L/P 11BDF92 was seen at the junction of the Pine Ridge Lodge with its top extensively damaged. Initial investigation reveal that 29 year old Cpl Moses Diego a BDF driver was driving en route to San Ignacio accompanied by recruits Delia Garnett, Laine BOL, Denisha Parchue, Roxanne Goff, John Estero, Cpl Nelson Hughes, Cpl Zachariah Pop and Private Ardelia Coc, all in the back of the vehicle. Upon reaching a curve Corporal Diego noticed a white tow head truck in the middle of the road. Corporal Diego swerved to avoid a collision and lost control and went into a drain on the right hand-side of the road and then in another drain on the left hand-side of the road and overturned. The passengers were all thrown out. Cpl Zechariahs POP received severe head and body injuries and was pronounced dead on arrival at the San Ignacio Hospital. Cpl Diego received bodily injuries. Roxanne Goff, Denisha Parchue and Lorine were flown to Universal Health services in Belize City. The others received minor injuries. Police are investigating.

ARREST

Reference robbery report made by Kara Williams , Police formally arrested and charged 2 minor (15 and 16) jointly for the crime of Robbery.

FOUND PROPERTY

On Sunday May4, at about 9:14 am, acting on information received, Police conducted a search in the Boca Del Rio Area, which led to the discovery of a chrome .380 Caliber pistol with its magazine containing four live rounds in the sea in front of some mangroves with its magazine containing four live rounds. The firearm and ammunition was labeled as Found Property.

ROBBERY

Ezekiel Chi, 37yrs, Belizean supervisor of Coconut Drive, San Pedro Town and owner of Dennis Store in the San Juan Area, reported that on 3.5.08 at about 8:30pm, whilst he was sitting behind the counter of his shop along with his wife Nori Chi, a male person of Hispanic decent dressed in full black clothing entered the establishment and pulled out from his pants waist a sawed off shot gun. The male person then pointed the gun towards complainant, and fired a single shot intending to shoot him but missed. They were then held up at gun point and the male person then took a black plastic bag containing Digicell calling cards all valuing $500.00 bcy. Police have since detained Jairo Perez, 22yrs, Belizean laborer of Boca del Rio Area San Pedro Town Pending investigation.

ARREST

Reference report made on 3.5.05, Police formally arrested and charged Marcial Mes, 58yrs, Farmer of San Marcos Village Toledo District for the following: (1) Drove Motor Vehicle without Due Care and Attention, (2) Negligent Harm, (3) Drove Motor Vehicle whilst under the influence of alcohol, and (4) Damage to property.

UNLAWFUL CARNAL KNOWLEDGE

On the 2/5/08 at 9:00am a 13year old minor of Trial Farm Village Orange Walk District, accompanied by her mother visited the Orange Walk Police station where she reported that on 14.3.08 at 2.00.pm en route to a grocery shop she met Byron Perdomo whom she knew. Perdomo then asked her to accompany him to his house which she did. Upon arrival he took her to his room and had sexual intercourse with her. A medical examination revealed that the minor was carnally known. Police are now looking for Byron Perdomo.

DRUG TRAFFICKING


On the 02-05-08 at 8:00am Police conducted an anti-drug operation in Forest Home Vilage, Toledo where 113 grams of suspected Cannabis was found in the yard of one David Bahadur. Present at the time of the search was Bahadur and his Girl Friend Delcia Guy. Police have since formally arrested and charged 24 year old David Bahadur a laborer and 18 year old Delcia Guy a domestic, both of Forest Home Village, Toledo District for the offence of DRUG TRAFFICKING.
