 Robert Jones At 11:15am on the 21/7/08, police visited the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital, Trauma Room, where the lifeless body of ROBERT JONES, AKA “BLACK” 24yrs, of #4500 Evergreen Street, Belize City, was seen with apparent gun shots wounds to the back of the head, left side of chest, left lower back and left buttock. Initial investigation revealed that Robert Jones was riding on a bicycle from the direction of Mahogany Street into Evergreen Street, Belize City, when he was approached by a gunman who fired several shots in his direction and fatally wounding him. He was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival. The body now lies at the morgue awaiting a postmortem examination. LEON GARCIA WOUNDED BY GUNFIRE There was a shooting at the corner of Seagull and Antelope Street, Belize City, police visited the K.H.M.H. Trauma Room, where one LEON GARCIA, 23yrs, of Saint Jude Street was seen with apparent gun shot wounds -- two wounds to the right rib, one to the left leg which exited, and one wound to the right side of the back. Initial investigation revealed that Leon Garcia was riding his bicycle on Seagull Street and heading towards Iguana Street when he was approached by a male person who fired several shot at him. Garcia was issued with Medico Legal Form and is admitted to ward in a critical condition. HOUSE SET ON FIRE MR. HERBERT BODDEN, 23yrs, of #6738 Tibruce Street, Belize City, reported that about 2:00am on 21/7/08, he was awakened by a knocking and a noise outside of his house. He then heard his ex-common-law-wife HILDA LOCARIO calling him, however, he ignored her -- since they had been separated for about 2 months. Mrs. Locario then began to threaten to burn down his house. Therefore, he came out and went to his mother’s house which is adjacent to his. Whilst at his mother, he peeped through the window and noticed that the back door of his house was on fire. He then quickly came and extinguished the fire, however, a number of items were destroyed by fire. Police have detained Hilda Locario, 32yrs, of #6832 Tibruce street, Belize City, pending charges. THIEF CAUGHT IN THE ACT KAYLANI GENTLE, 22yrs, of Banak Street, Belize City, reported that on the 21/7/08 at 10:45pm she parked a beach cruiser bicycle inside a yard and went upstairs of a house. Moments later she returned down stairs and saw one Elvis Joseph riding off with the said bicycle. Police have formally arrested and charged Elvis Joseph, 49yrs, of #11 West Street, Belize City, for the crime of Theft. DEADLY GRAMAXONE CONSUMPTION At 6:45 pm on 20-7-08 Punta Gorda Police visited the hospital where Pablo Ack, 36 yrs., laborer of San Miguel Village in the TOLEDO District was seen vomiting and complaining of pain on his stomach. Ack reported to police that on the 19-07-08 at 8:30 pm he was at his house drinking along with his cousin Josiah CUCUL. He got drunk and fell asleep face down inside the hall of his house. At 10:00 pm on the 19-07-08 he was awakened by his wife, Dolores Ack -- but he observed that his pants were down and that Josiah Cucul on top of him. On the Sunday at 5:00 pm, annoyed by what his wife was telling him, , he decided to commit Suicide. He then drank a small tin of the herbicide GRAMAXZONE , ON the 21-07-08 at 9:00 am he was pronounce dead by the doctor at the Punta Gorda Hospital. |
