John Briggs, 63yrs, Chief Transport Officer reported that at about 10:10pm on 18.07.09 whilst on operation in the Seine Bight Village, his attention was drawn to a brown vehicle without license plate. The vehicle was then pursued and stopped. Four male occupants were asked to exit the vehicle. They were: Shaun Andrews, 24yrs, Corporal of Police, Jariot Tillett, 21yrs, Shawn Henry, 20yrs, and Cupton Casey, 19yrs, all of Camalote Village, Cayo District. A search was conducted and found under the driver’s seat was (1) black sawed off shot gun and (5) live rounds of ammunition. A further search on Andrews led to the discovery of (1) .38 revolver with (5) live rounds of .38 ammunition. They were all arrested and are now detained pending charges.

Reference report made on the 12.7.08, police formally arrested and charged Giovanni Lauriano, 30yrs, of Hattieville Village for the crime of unlawful Carnal Knowledge.
83 YR OLD DIES SUDDENLY MS. VIOLA HARRISON, of #15 Fabers Road, Belize City, reported to police that at about 4:00pm on the 20/7/08, whilst at home she found her brother SELWIN EMMANEUL WADE, 83yrs, D.O.B: 16.2.20, lying on the floor having problems breathing. Ms. Harrison got some water from the kitchen but when she returned found him motionless and apparently dead. Wade, it was reported, was suffering from High blood pressure and heart problems in recent months.
ROBBERY AT SHELL ONE STOP IN ORANGE WALK Jaime Salazar, 43yrs, supervisor of Shell One Stop, Orange Walk Town reported to police that on 19.07.08 at about 8:50pm whilst working at the west fuel pump for Shell One Stop on the Belize Corozal Road in Orange Walk Town, a male person of Creole descent approached him with a firearm and demanded money -- Salazar handed $40.00. The culprit then went over to the east side pump to the other pump attendant namely Carlos Chub and pointed the gun at him and ordered him to hand over the money. Fearing for his life he handed over $378.00 and then made good his escape. Police are investigating.
17 YEAR OLD GIRL MISSING
On the 20th July 2008 at 1:20 am Andrew WALLCOTT, 57yrs, British National of #30 Burns Avenue San Ignacio Town visited the San Ignacio Police station and reported that his step daughter, Kiare Chelsea WALLOCTT, 17yrs, left home to a concert at Cahal Pech at 10:45pm on 20/7/08 and has not returned since. She was last seen wearing a long black dress and slippers. She is of Creole descent. She is believed to be with her boyfriend Kirk in Camalote Village. Police are investigating.
