WOMAN AND DAUGHTER JACKED AT HOME

MS. BERNADETT GOMEZ
, 53yrs, a businesswoman of Lizarraga Avenue, Belize City reported that on Friday, April 30 at 1:30 am while with her daughter 26 year old ALEXIES GOMEZ two dark skin male persons wearing mask over their faces entered the house. One of the men was wearing a white T-shirt with black long sleeve and the other was armed with a small knife, he was medium built 5’ 5” in height. The man with the knife then approached Ms. Gomez and place the knife on her neck and demanded money. The other man then went inside the bed room and stole assorted jewellery. The daughter,Ms. Gomez was robbed of her gold diamond ring valued at $1,000.00. They entered her bedroom and stole (1) black Samsung Razor smart cellular phone with calling number 670-5399 valued at $1,200.00;(1) black Samsung camera value $1,500.00,and a $100.00 in cash. The total estimated value of cash items and jewelries was listed at 19,880.00. Police visited the scene and ascertained the culprits gained entrance of the residence by removing the window screen and opening the French window facing the southern portion of the building.

NURSE COMPUTER STOLEN

MS. NELSIA FLOWERS, 29yrs, Nurse of Madam Liz Avenue, Belize City, report that between 9:00 am on the 28/4/08 and 10:00 am on 29/4/08, someone burglarized her house and stole there (1) black in color Dell brand computer monitor along with key board, mouse and back up battery value $4,400.00Bcy, (1) white and gray in color HP brand Printer value $600.00Bcy, (1) gray in color Sharp brand DVD player value $299.00Bcy, (1) black in color Nintendo game value $250.00Bcy and (1) pair gold earring with and a gold chain value $170.00Bcy, all to a total value of $5719.00Bcy. Police visited the scene and determined that the thief or thieves gained entry by opening the glass window on the eastern side of the building.
BUTANE GAAN

MR. MANUEL MARTIN
, 36yrs,General Manager of “Gas Tomza Limited Belize” located at 4 ½ miles Northern Highway, Belize City reported that between the 14/4/08 and 26/4/08 a total of 2076 gallons of butane valued at $9,342.00 was stolen from the stock kept at the compound. The security, PEDRO SANCHEZ and SYLVESTER MALDONADO, a truck driver of the company, later confessed to having stolen the gas from the company. Police will be taking statements from both men pending charges.

TRUCK CONTAINER FOUND EMPTY

PROPERTY RECOVERED: reference reported made by EDSON MOH on the 29/4/08 Police and Customs Office found, (1) white International Truck 1995 bearing L/P A-2500 along with 40 foot container was found about 250 yards off George Price Avenue in Belmopan City. The truck is presently in Customs Compound the container was found open with no contents.
